Dr. Sarah Aboudara is a licensed Psychologist in New Jersey who has experience working with a variety of child and adolescent diagnoses. Dr. Aboudara graduated from The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University (GSAPP) in 2014. She is a certified School Psychologist as well as a licensed clinical Psychologist in the state of New Jersey. She has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy, parent training, and school psychology. Dr. Aboudara enjoys working with young children, adolescents and parents.  Her areas of expertise include anxiety and stress-related disorders, depression, behavior problems, ADHD and Autism.

 

Before coming on full time at the Center, Dr. Aboudara worked for 11 years as a School Psychologist/Behaviorist in an elementary school in Piscataway, New Jersey. She feels as though her time spent in the school system brings a greater understanding of children and what the environment where they spend so much of their time is like. During the school day she would spend her time consulting with teachers, participating in crisis intervention, running targeted groups as well as conducting classroom social-emotional lessons. She also worked very closely with her school’s Child Study Team and has a unique understanding of the process surrounding Special Education evaluations and services. Due to her school psychology background, Dr. Aboudara can offer consultation regarding IEPs as well as school consultation and advocacy,

 

When she’s not working, Dr. Aboudara loves spending time with her family, going on hikes and exploring new restaurants.
